The Position: Groundskeeper

The duties of the groundskeeper include:

• Ensuring the grounds and common areas of the property are clean at all times.
• Picking up trash and debris in common areas, pool, and recreation areas.
• Assisting Maintenance with various tasks and reporting repairs needed to the supervisor.
• Sweeping and cleaning parking lots daily.
• Picking up trash from grounds daily.
• Using hoses to clean front entry walks regularly and as needed.
• Changing all light bulbs in hallways and common areas as needed.
• Assisting other staff with moving and installation of furniture and equipment.
• Assisting with snow removal as needed.
• Setting a good example for residents and maintaining a courteous and helpful attitude.
• Maintaining regular and predictable attendance.

The Candidate:

• High School diploma or equivalent or proven ability to read labels, instructions, etc.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within a team.
• Well-organized and flexible.
• Some ability related to facility maintenance, changing bulbs, sweeping.
• May need to transport self between properties.
• Background check required.
