Job summary

Charlestown by Erickson Senior Living in Catonsville, Maryland, seeks a Grounds Worker II to maintain lawns, gardens, shrubs and exterior areas, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for residents.

You will perform mowing, edging, planting, sign maintenance, snow support, and assist residents with gardening. Valid driver's license required if operating community vehicles; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; non-standard schedule may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of landscaping or grounds experience.
• Valid driver's license if operating community vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Non-standard schedule and on-call may be required.
• May be required to attend a horticulture program.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of lawns, trees, gardens and shrubbery.
• Upkeep of exterior areas including trash, weeding, and dog runs.
• Installation and maintenance of exterior signs.
• Assist residents with gardening.
• Assist in snow removal.
• Maintain related equipment.
• Identify horticultural problems and provide treatment recommendations.

Join our team as a Grounds Worker II, where you will help maintain all exterior areas of the community, ensuring a beautiful and safe environment for our residents.

• Compensation: commensurate with experience, range $18.00 - $20.00 an hour

How you will make an impact

• Maintenance of all lawns, trees, gardens and shrubbery
• Upkeep of all exterior areas; including trash removal, weeding, pet stations, dog runs, fencing, etc.
• Installation and maintenance of exterior signs
• Assistance to residents with gardening
• Assistance in the snow removal of the community
• Assistance in the maintenance of all associated equipment
• Identification of Horticultural related problems and treatment recommendations

What you will need

• Minimum of 3 years of landscaping or grounds experience
• Valid driver's license is required if operating Community vehicles
• Be able to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• May be required to work a non-standard schedule. In addition, maybe assigned an on-call schedule as needed.
• May be required to attend a Horticulture program
