Job summary

Erickson Senior Living’s Charlestown community in Catonsville, MD is seeking a Grounds Worker II to maintain exterior areas and support residents in gardening. The role supports a beautiful, safe environment across a 110-acre continuing care retirement community.

Qualifications include a minimum of 3 years in landscaping/grounds and a valid driver’s license if operating community vehicles. The position may require non-standard hours and on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of landscaping or grounds experience.
• Valid driver’s license required if operating Community vehicles.
• Be able to lift/move objects up to 50 pounds.
• Non-standard schedule may be required; on-call schedule possible.
• May be required to attend a Horticulture program.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of all lawns, trees, gardens and shrubbery.
• Upkeep of all exterior areas; including trash removal, weeding, pet stations, dog runs, fencing, etc.
• Installation and maintenance of exterior signs.
• Assistance to residents with gardening.
• Assistance in snow removal of the community.
• Assistance in maintenance of all associated equipment.
• Identification of horticultural related problems and treatment recommendations.
