Job summary

XKIG is seeking a Groundsperson to support our crew by performing ground-based work such as clearing brush and trees, and cleaning up job sites after completion.

The role requires physical strength and balance, the ability to work outdoors in varying weather, and a valid Driver's License for driving positions. Safety training including basic first aid/CPR is preferred, and travel for storm restoration may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be physically strong with balance to drag heavy limbs.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must obtain first-aid certification and CPR.
• Must have a valid Driver's License for driving positions.
• Must be able to travel for storm restoration work.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe practices and keep work areas clear of debris.
• Clear undergrowth from rights-of-way using saws and pruners.
• Load/unload trucks with logs and debris; feed brush into chipper.
• Set up and break down road signs; flag traffic to protect workers.
• Drive trucks or operate other equipment as assigned.
• Perform basic maintenance on trucks and equipment.
