Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons in Omaha, NE is seeking a Grounds Technician to support the on-site residential experience. You will maintain the community's grounds, assist with irrigation, shrubs, and seasonal tasks, and help ensure a safe, tidy environment for residents.

This role requires physical fitness, the ability to work outdoors in all weather, and reliable transportation. Competitive pay starts at $16.63 per hour with benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Ability to shovel snow and/or clear ice and spread salt in snow season.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures.
• Ability to lift minimum 20 pounds and push/pull up to 80 pounds.
• Experience in irrigation is a plus.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code.
• Able to communicate effectively with residents and coworkers.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn software and apps.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• General upkeep and cleanliness of the apartment community.
• Upkeep of parking lots, surrounding grounds, corridors, stairwells, laundry rooms, and mechanical rooms.
• Collect and remove trash as needed.
• Weed beds using appropriate tools.
• Monitor irrigation to water grass areas.
• Repair or replace sprinkler heads and lines as required.
• Report unhealthy trees, shrubs, and plants to management.
• Edging around trees and landscape borders.
• Rake grounds and clean sidewalks and parking lots.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
