Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons is seeking a Grounds Technician to join our on-site operations in Grand Rapids, MI. You’ll handle general upkeep of the apartment community, maintain grounds, assist with irrigation, and support residents while ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Ideal candidates are able to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, lift 20 pounds, and operate basic computer tasks. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required; experience with irrigation is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to shovel snow and spread salt during snow season.
• Ability to work outdoors in temperatures above 90°F or below 32°F.
• Able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and push/pull up to 80 pounds.
• Experience in irrigation is a plus.
• Maintain a professional appearance and communicate effectively with residents and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• General upkeep and cleanliness of the apartment community.
• Upkeep of parking lots, grounds, corridors, stairs, laundry rooms, and mechanical rooms.
• Collect trash and maintain beds with weeding.
• Monitor irrigation system and repair sprinkler heads as needed.
• Report unhealthy plant life to management and edge landscape borders.
