Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons in Wixom, MI is seeking a Grounds Technician to maintain the apartment community and support a positive resident experience. This on-site role covers landscaping, seasonal snow removal, trash collection, and minor repairs to keep grounds neat and safe.

You will work outdoors in temperature extremes, follow dress code, communicate with residents, and grow with a company that offers training, benefits, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Ability to shovel snow and clear ice.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures.
• Ability to lift at least 20 pounds and push/pull up to 80 pounds.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer skills and comfort with software and apps.

Responsibilities

• General upkeep and cleanliness of the apartment community.
• Upkeep on parking lots, grounds surrounding buildings, corridors, stairwells, laundry rooms, and mechanical rooms.
• Collecting and removing trash as needed.
• Weeding of beds using appropriate tools.
• Monitoring the irrigation system to ensure all grass areas are watered.
• Repairing or replacing sprinkler heads and lines as required.
• Reporting unhealthy lawn, trees, shrubs, and plants to management.
• Edging around trees and landscape borders.
• Raking grounds and blowing or sweeping sidewalks and parking lots.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
