Job summary

Friendly Senior Living is seeking a groundskeeper to maintain the campus outdoors year-round. You will perform mowing, edging, mulching, planting, snow removal and related tasks, ensuring clean and safe grounds for residents and staff.

The role requires operating power equipment and a vehicle, maintaining the maintenance garage, and following safety protocols. A valid NYS driver’s license is required; you will work outdoors in all seasons and may cover weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Equivalent experience in grounds and landscaping including planting, mowing, snow removal.
• Must be neat in appearance, dependable and pleasant.
• Licenses/Certifications: Valid NYS driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform grounds keeping tasks across the Campus including mowing, edging, mulching, weeding and snow removal.
• Operate power equipment, pickup truck and tractor; maintain cleanliness of the maintenance garage.
• Report to fire zone when alarms sound and participate in safety trainings; ensure resident tickets are resolved promptly.
