Job summary

Shalom Austin is seeking Grounds team members to support operations and maintain attractive, safe outdoor spaces. The role emphasizes teamwork and independent work as needed, with a 7am to 3pm shift and a focus on professional communication with colleagues and members.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read and write and communicate effectively.
• Must be able to multitask.
• Willingness to learn and perform minor maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Remove debris, leaves, and litter to maintain cleanliness and appearance of grounds.
• Plant, prune, water, and care for trees, shrubs, flowers, and other vegetation.
• Operate grounds keeping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, chainsaws, and hedge trimmers.
• Inspect grounds regularly and report any hazards or repair needs.
• Maintain inventory of landscaping tools, supplies, and materials.
• Notify supervisor of supply needs, including fertilizers, pesticides, and other materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
