Fayette County Administration is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Worker to perform landscaping duties such as mowing, planting, edging, debris removal, and equipment operation.
This full-time position requires basic reading/writing and math skills and a valid Georgia driver's license if required for the job. The role includes maintaining parks, irrigation work, trimming vegetation, and assisting with snow/ice removal while ensuring a safe outdoor environment for residents.
This is a full-time position with benefits. The Grounds Maintenance Worker performs a variety of landscaping duties: mows grass; plants flowers and shrubs; weed eats around signs and fence lines; edges curb lines; clears leaves, tree limbs and other debris from park areas; spreads and hauls ground cover, dirt, or mulch; applies herbicides and pesticides; prunes trees and shrubs; weeds flower beds; aerates and spreads grass seed; services irrigation systems; grooms and lines ball fields; and removes snow and ice,etc. An incumbent in this position may be designated a Grounds Maintenance Worker I, II, or III.
