Job summary

Tessera is seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker in Silverdale, WA, to maintain and repair grounds around facilities under a full-time day-shift schedule.

The role includes mowing, edging, debris removal, equipment maintenance, and potential operation of heavy tools. A valid driver’s license and ability to obtain security clearances are required. Benefits are provided, including health and retirement plans.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair the grounds up to and around the facilities.
• Perform mowing, trimming, edging, weed and brush control.
• Pick up and remove all rubbish, debris, and trash within the maintenance area and along fences and foundations.
• Load large wheelbarrows with debris.
• Perform basic maintenance of grounds equipment.
• May operate a tractor and/or mower, weed eaters, chain saws, pressure washer and brush cutters.
• Remove snow from walkways, driveways, roads, or parking lots and apply salt.

Compensation: $ 21.68 -$ 21.68 /hour

Tessera is seeking a Skilled and professional Grounds Maintenance Worker with a positive attitude.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Maintain and repair the grounds up to and around the facilities.


• Perform mowing, trimming, edging, weed and brush control.


• Pick up and remove all rubbish, debris, and trash (which includes, but is not limited to; rocks, paper, pinecones , limbs, and other portable objects) within the maintenance area and all trash, papers and limbs lodged in shrubs, hedges, fences, and along foundation walls.


• Load large wheel barrels with debris.


• Perform basic maintenance of grounds equipment.


• May operate a tractor and/or mower, weed eaters, chain saws, pressure washer and brush cutters.


• Demonstrate ability to multi-task throughout workday, with constant interruptions; Utilize company cell phones. Respond to phone calls promptly.


• Remove snow from walkways, driveways, roads, or parking lots using shovel and snow blower , spreads salt on walkways and other areas.

Qualifications:

6 months experience in ground maintenance or prior laborer experience is preferred.

Work both independently and in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Read and understand contract requirements and maps.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance . The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis .

Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required .

Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

• A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
