Job summary

Tessera is hiring a General Maintenance Worker at our Silverdale facility. The position covers painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general building maintenance, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

This role is non-exempt and on-site, with a pay rate of $38.00 per hour. Eligibile employees receive a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k), tuition assistance, and an Employee Assistance Program.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma/GED is required.
• Minimum 3 years of closely related experience.
• Knowledge of painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work preferred.
• Ability to learn a wide variety of building and ground maintenance.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods of time, occasionally in adverse weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Painting, carpentry, siding repairs/replacement, glass replacement in doors and windows, minor plumbing, masonry, concrete repairs, and minor electrical work. Clean roof drains and gutters.
• Replacing electrical receptacles and switches, fixtures, and bathroom exhaust fan motors.
• Patch holes in walls or ceilings with plaster or compound.
• Repair or replace sinks, water coolers, and toilets. Caulking plumbing kitchen fixtures.
• Communicate with customers and supervisors about repairs and needs.
• Respond to inquiries and complaints; ensure quality of work.
• Use handheld devices to manage work and update status.
