Job summary

PRIDE Industries is hiring a Grounds Maintenance Laborer under a federal AbilityOne contract. The role focuses on maintaining landscapes, roads, and parking areas across multiple sites. You will work under supervision to ensure safe, pristine grounds and adhere to contract requirements.

The position requires one year of grounds maintenance experience, PPE usage, and the ability to operate mowers, trimmers, blowers, and related equipment. Valid driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of grounds maintenance experience or knowledge of standards, techniques, and materials.
• Proper use of PPE is required.
• Ability to identify and safely use manual and power tools.
• Ability to manage materials and time and adapt to changing priorities.
• Flexibility due to schedule changes and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Mow lawns with walking or riding mowers.
• Weed eating and bed maintenance.
• Blow leaves and pick up debris for clean grounds.
• Trim hedges and edges around walks and buildings.
• Prune shrubs and trees with shears and saws.
• Monitor equipment for malfunctions and report issues.
• Travel between facilities may be required.
• May irrigate vegetation and monitor irrigation systems.
• Apply fertilizers and pesticides as needed.
• May drive company pickup or small truck.
• Complete basic paperwork and track materials/time.
• Perform other duties including snow removal and cleaning.
