Job summary

PRIDE Industries is hiring a Grounds Maintenance Laborer to maintain landscapes, roads, and parking areas at designated facilities on a federal AbilityOne contract. You will perform mowing, trimming, weed control, and debris removal under close supervision.

The role requires adherence to safety practices and proper PPE usage. Qualification includes at least one year in grounds work, High School Diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• One year of grounds maintenance experience or knowledge of standards and materials.
• Proper use of PPE.
• Ability to identify and work safely with manual and power tools.
• Ability to manage material resources and time, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Flexibility due to schedule changes and tasks; strong teamwork and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Mows lawns with walking-type or riding mowers and maintains thatch.
• Uses a weed eater, pulls weeds, and maintains flower beds.
• Uses a blower and collects trash, leaves, and debris for a neat appearance.
• Trims hedges and edges around walks and buildings with trimming tools.
• Prunes shrubs/trees with shears and saws.
• Monitors equipment and reports malfunctions; may drive company vehicle.
• May irrigate, apply fertilizers or pesticides as needed.
