Job summary

PRIDE Industries is seeking a Landscape Gardener to install and maintain landscapes, roads, and parking areas at facilities. Under supervision, you will manage grounds to keep them safe, clean, and visually appealing using knowledge of landscaping practices and equipment.

The role requires ability to operate landscaping tools, knowledge of irrigation systems, and adherence to safety standards. This onsite position is part of the Commercial Contracts group and supports nationwide customers.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year of landscaping experience preferred.
• Knowledge of landscape maintenance standards and techniques, materials, and the safe and proper use of chemicals preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and respond to questions and requests from team, customers and others.
• Effective written communication skills using appropriate business English.
• Human relations skills to maintain effective working relationships with team.
• Effective customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs landscape maintenance activities and improvement projects at customer locations.
• Mows lawns, trims hedges and shrubs, maintains overall appearance of landscape vegetation and grounds.
• Applies fertilizer, weed killer, and necessary pesticides, pulls weeds, and maintains flower beds.
• Picks up trash, leaves, and provides a clean and neat appearance of the grounds.
• Monitors and maintains irrigation systems to ensure that vegetation is properly irrigated.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
