Job summary

The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) is seeking a Grounds Maintenance position in El Paso, TX. This on-site role involves maintaining the grounds of industrial, commercial, or public property and performing routine landscaping and cleanup tasks.

Hours are 40 per week, Mon-Fri 6:00am-2:30pm with evenings and weekends possible. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required. Salary is $26,000 annually, with benefits outlined by UTEP.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: No minimum experience required.
• Note: Valid state-issued driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily trash pickup route.
• Sweeps and washes entrances, sidewalks, and streets.
• Mows, trims and edges lawns and shrubs.
• Prunes shrubs/trees to shape/growth; reports infestations.
