Job summary

County of El Paso is seeking a Groundskeeper to perform day-to-day maintenance across county parks, golf course, and surrounding areas. The role involves operating a range of equipment, performing routine repairs, and preparing fields for events.

The incumbent will conduct inspections, maintain landscaping, irrigation systems, and restrooms while supporting special events and safety protocols. Strong teamwork and physical resilience are essential.

Qualifications

• General construction and maintenance knowledge.
• Experience with mowers, pesticide sprayers, and related equipment.
• Ability to read and write English and follow manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative and regular maintenance on equipment and facilities including landscaping and related trades.
• Inspect equipment and facilities to ensure proper maintenance and safety.
• Prepare fields for seeding, fertilizing, and sporting events.
• Operate trucks, mowers and other mechanical equipment as needed.
• Lead daily trash collections and keep county lakes free of debris.
• Maintain restrooms, signage, sprinklers, and water pumps; assist with special events.
