Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Building and Grounds Worker located in Bridgman, MI. In this role, you will maintain the property, including cutting lawns and performing minor repairs, while reporting to the Facilities Supervisor.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma, a valid Driver's License, and the ability to work under varying weather conditions. Benefits include health coverage and a 401(k) savings plan.

About the role: The Building and Grounds Worker will be located onsite in Bridgman, MI. You will be part of a team that takes care of the property buildings and grounds reporting to the Facilities Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cut lawn using hand, power or riding equipment, trim and edge around walks, flowerbeds, walls.
• Plant grass, flowers, trees and shrubs; prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth.
• Remove snow and ice from roads, walkways and steps; may rake leaves, clean and sweep litter.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment used in grounds keeping.
• Perform minor building maintenance, plumbing, painting. This would include task such as small framing/drywall projects, repair toilets and urinals
• Move office furniture and supplies.
• This summary is not intended to be all-inclusive, and we may assign other tasks.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or educational equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid Driver's License, required. We desire a Commercial Driver License (CDL) but do not require it.
• Frequently, walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. You must also talk and listen. Use your hands to handle objects. Reach with your hands and arms, and lift or move up to 75 pounds. You need vision with peripheral, close, and depth perception.
• The work will include outdoors and therefore subject to weather conditions.
• You can work either day shift or night shift during winter months.
• We desire maintenance, snow plowing, and lawn care experience.
• Be able to pass criminal background, drug/alcohol screen (including medical and recreational marijuana and CBD oil), and employment testing.
• Local to our client's site.
