Title: Grounds Maintenance Technician
Location: Blair, Nebraska
Salary: Up to $22 depending on experience
Hours: 4 / 10hr days, Mon - Thurs or Tues - Fri or 5 / 8hr days-negotiable

What Will I Be Doing?
Here are just a few things you can expect to do daily:
Work and direct personnel in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment. 'Safety First' expectations include, but are not limited to, PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company/site safety guidelines and procedures.
Complete assigned tasks including sanitation and cleaning of assigned areas following master cleaning schedules and procedures, with varying levels of supervision based on task complexity and employee development.
Operate vehicles and powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, and snow blowers.
Perform preventive maintenance on associated equipment, adhering to established standards.
Maintain adherence to work schedule and be available for overtime, weekends, holidays, and shifts as required.
Assist in maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, landscaping, and snow removal.
Mow and edge lawns using power mowers and hand edger.
Shovel snow from walks, driveways, and parking lots, and spread salt in those areas.
Assist in formulating preventive maintenance standards/work procedures and provide feedback on discrepancies noted in all associated operations.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and customers to accomplish assigned tasks and develop sound customer relations.
Maintain communication with supervisors regarding unresolved work issues, personnel issues, and employee complaints.
Perform other work as defined by company and/or customer.
Ensure compliance with all company/customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals to include employee development planning.
Meet physical requirements of the job, which will be provided prior to employment.
Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
Complete accurate and timely administrative duties, including time accounting and work order completion.
Maintain positive customer and employee relations.
What Makes Me Qualified?
Experience: 0-2 years of grounds maintenance preferred.
What are the physical demands of the role?
The ability to observe details at close range.
Control Precision – The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or vehicle to exact positions.
Manual Dexterity – The ability to quickly grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
Substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required.
Ability to move for extended or continuous periods of time.
Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.
Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles safely.
Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties.
Communication/Expression – The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
Information Ordering – The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to specific rules.
