Title: Grounds Maintenance Technician
Location: Blair Nebraska
Salary: Up to $22 depending on experience
Hours: 4 / 10hr days, Mon - Thurs or Tues - Fri or 5 / 8hr days-negotiable

What Will I Be Doing?
Here are just a few things you can expect to do daily:
Work and direct personnel in a team-oriented and safety conscious environment. “Safety First” expectations include compliance with all company/site safety guidelines and procedures.
Sanitation and cleaning of assigned areas following master cleaning schedules and procedures.
Operate vehicles and powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, and snow blowers.
Perform preventive maintenance on associated equipment.
Maintain adherence to work schedule and work overtime, weekends, holidays, and shifts as required.
Assist in maintenance, railroad, and groundwork such as mowing, trimming, landscaping, and snow removal.
Mow and edge lawns using power mowers and hand edger.
Shovel snow from walks, driveways, and parking lots, and spread salt in those areas.
Assist in formulating preventive maintenance standards/work procedures.
Must have working knowledge and be trained to operate boom lifts, forklifts, and hand & power tools.
Communicate effectively with supervisor and customer to accomplish assigned tasks.
Maintain communication with supervisor regarding unresolved work issues.
Work all shifts including holidays and weekends when demanded by the job.
Perform other work as defined by company and/or customer.
Ensure compliance with all company/customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals.
Meet physical requirements of the job.
Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
Accurate and timely administrative duties including time accounting and work order completion.
Maintain positive customer and employee relations.
What Makes Me Qualified?
Experience: 0-2 years of grounds maintenance preferred.
What are the physical demands of the role?
The ability to observe details at close range.
Control Precision – The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or vehicle.
Manual Dexterity – The ability to quickly grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
Substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required.
Ability to move for extended or continuous periods of time.
Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.
Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner.
Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties.
Communication/Expression – The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
Information Ordering – The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern.
What is the work environment?
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
