Goodwill San Antonio is seeking a Full Time Grounds Maintenance worker at Fort Sam in San Antonio, TX. The role focuses on grass cutting, trimming, debris removal, and landscape tasks to support the organization’s mission.

You will operate mowers, trimmers, and blowers while following safety requirements and providing friendly customer service. Qualifications include a valid driver’s license and 6+ months of related experience with tools.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license.
• 6+ months of landscaping experience.
• Skilled in using landscaping hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Cut grass to specific requirements using a push mower.
• Remove grass clippings, trash, and debris from work site and dispose of trash at collection point.
• Operate grass/weed trimmer in slopes, canals, ditches, rough terrain, ramps, or drop-offs.
• Operate backpack blower to clear surfaced areas.
• Trim hedges and shrubs and edge sidewalks, curbs, parking lots, and other surfaced areas.
• Remove vines from fences and maintain fence lines cleared of new growth.
• Clean tools, working areas, and vehicles; perform basic service maintenance by following manufacturer’s directions.
• Follow all safety requirements; wear safety equipment; exercise caution on slopes when carrying equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting, assisting, and responding to questions in a positive, professional manner.
