Job Description:
This position is with our Construction Facilities Management Office at the Clay National Guard Center in Marietta, Georgia. Travel to other Georgia Army National Guard locations around the metro Atlanta area may be required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides maintenance to grounds, sidewalks, parking lots, fencing, and other large ground area modifications (mow grass, weed-eat, blow driveways and parking lots, plant and trim shrubs/plants, apply pesticides, pick up trash).
Properly uses power tools and commercial mowers.
NOTE: The selected applicant will work outdoors in extreme temperatures and will be exposed to loud noises and fumes from herbicide application, gasoline, and two cycle engines. Manual labor required with heavy lifting of landscape materials and other activities such as planting, trimming, mowing, and mulch installation.
Agency Specific Qualifications and/or Preferred Qualifications:
The selected applicant will have the additional following requirements:
Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test.
Must pass a pre-employment background check (which includes criminal records check, driver’s history and verification of work history) and a post-hire federal background investigation.
