Job summary

Ubico in Gloucester is seeking a Ground Maintenance Operative to support the upkeep of public spaces across the city and external sites. The role includes routine grounds work, waste activities, and a proactive, customer-focused approach.

Driving duties and safety awareness are essential, with training and progression opportunities available. We offer flexible working, 26 days leave + bank holidays, Pension support, and access to Ubico Perks.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence to drive vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes gross weight.
• Basic knowledge of horticulture.
• Basic knowledge of vehicles, plant and machinery for grounds maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety in grounds maintenance.
• Previous experience with mobile or static plant and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine grounds maintenance across Gloucester and other locations.
• Engage in waste activities and support site maintenance as required.
• Be a proactive, customer-focused team member contributing to a clean and green environment.

Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Ground Maintenance Operative to help with the up keep of public spaces throughout Gloucester. This is a varied role and you will be carrying out a wide range of routine grounds maintenance throughout the season and other waste activities in various locations throughout the City and external locations.

You will need…

• Full driving licence to be able to drive a range of vehicles up to and including 3.5 tonnes gross weight
• A basic knowledge of horticulture
• A basic knowledge of vehicles, plant and machinery for use within a grounds maintenance environment
• A basic knowledge of health and safety requirements within a grounds maintenance environment
• Previous experience of working with mobile or static plant and equipment.
• To be a proactive team member with a positive attitude and customer focussed
