Job summary

Fleet Landing is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Crew Member to beautify and maintain our campus, ensuring safe, clean, and welcoming outdoor spaces for residents, families, and staff. You will perform mowing, edging, pruning, weed control, and general clean-up with attention to detail and safety.

You will operate manual and power tools, maintain equipment, follow PPE guidelines, and work collaboratively with the maintenance team to uphold the community’s high standards of appearance and safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of grounds maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists team with mowing, edging, pruning, weed control and clean-up.
• Ensure campus utility vehicles and equipment remain clean and in working order, including preventative maintenance.
• Operate manual and power tools to perform installation, maintenance and cleaning projects.
• Operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
• Ensure all crew members perform work safely and wear PPE as directed.
• Represent the community positively when interacting with residents and colleagues.

Your Opportunity

We are seeking a Grounds Maintenance Crew Member. The Grounds Maintenance Crew member's primary responsibility is the beautification and maintenance of our Campus. Fleet Landing has over 140 healthcare beds including a post-acute unit, home health, long-term care, assisted living, and memory care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists team members with mowing, edging, pruning, weed control and general clean-up.

• Skillfully and safely uses manually and power operated tools or equipment to perform installation, maintenance and cleaning projects.
• Strong working knowledge and ability to operate heavy equipment.
• Ensures all crew members perform their work safely and wears and uses all PPE as directed.
• Ability to positively represent the community by interacting with community residents and colleagues in a polite and professional manner.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or GED preferred

Experience:
One year of grounds maintenance preferred.
