Job summary

Otterbein SeniorLife in Ohio invites applications for a Groundskeeper to join our Maintenance team on the 1st shift. Duties include lawn mowing, trimming, and plant care, with setup for outdoor events and general upkeep of outdoor areas.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid Ohio driver’s license, and lawn care/landscaping experience. Health, retirement, and tuition benefits are available, with a focus on community and service.

Are you looking to be part of a great Maintenance Team? Otterbein is looking to add a dedicated and motivated Groundskeeper to our team!

Shift: 1st shift Candidates with experience and a willingness to be part of a great team are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Mows lawn using hand, power or riding lawnmower.


• Trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls


• Hand weed gardens and spread mulch.


• Trim shrubs and low hanging branches.


• Water plants and grass as needed.


• Clean outside patio furniture as directed.


• Assist with set up and tear down of tents, etc. for outdoor activities.


• Performs any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required


• Licensure/Certification: Must have a valid Ohio driver's license and be insurable


• Experience: Lawn care and landscaping experience required. Familiarity with irrigation systems, small-engine maintenance/repair preferred. Experience in maintenance department and prior experience in a health care facility preferred.
