Job summary

Otterbein SeniorLife is seeking a Groundskeeper to join our maintenance team in Ohio. The role focuses on lawn care, trimming, edging, weed control, irrigation familiarity, and assisting with outdoor events at a health-care facility.

Responsibilities include mowing, edging, mulching, shrub trimming, watering, and site setup/teardown. A valid Ohio driver’s license is required, with preference for prior healthcare facility maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license and be insurable.
• Lawn care and landscaping experience required; irrigation familiarity and small-engine maintenance preferred.

Shift: 1st shift Candidates with experience and a willingness to be part of a great team are encouraged to apply.

• Mows lawn using hand, power or riding lawnmower.
• Trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls
• Hand weed gardens and spread mulch.
• Trim shrubs and low hanging branches.
• Water plants and grass as needed.
• Clean outside patio furniture as directed.
• Assist with set up and tear down of tents, etc. for outdoor activities.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education : High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Licensure/Certification : Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license and be insurable
• Experience: Lawn care and landscaping experience required. Familiarity with irrigation systems, small-engine maintenance/repair preferred. Experience in maintenance department and prior experience in a health care facility preferred.
