Job summary

Lamar Consolidated ISD is seeking a Grounds and Landscaping worker to maintain safe and attractive district grounds. Responsibilities include mowing, watering, planting, and supporting athletic field prep, with occasional sprinkler system work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Eligible for District vehicle insurance program.

Responsibilities

• Mow and detail district grounds, including athletic fields.
• Care for trees, shrubs and flowers by watering, pruning, fertilizing, mulching, maintaining beds and controlling weeds.
• Plant shrubs and vegetation.
• Water grounds and apply fertilizer.
• Collect and dispose of leaves, dirt, debris and refuse from district grounds and facilities.
• Assist with inspection, repair and installation of sprinkler systems.
• Assist with preparation of athletic fields for games, including chalking fields.
• Maintain tools and equipment through minor adjustments and repairs.
