Job summary

Lake Dallas Independent School District is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain safe, attractive grounds and athletic fields at the Lake Dallas facilities. This nonexempt, full-time role reports to the Director of Facilities & Operations and requires a valid Texas driver's license.

Responsibilities include mowing and detailing grounds, watering and fertilizing beds, assisting with field prep, sprinkler system work, and ensuring safe operation of landscaping equipment.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas driver's license required.
• Ability to understand detailed written or oral instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and supervisors.
• Ability to operate power-driven equipment safely.
• Experience level indicated as None in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Mow and detail all district grounds, including athletic fields.
• Follow maintenance plans for lawns, trees, shrubs, and flowers with watering, pruning, fertilizing, mulching, and weed control.
• Care for trees, shrubs, and flowers by watering and mulching; manage beds and weeds.
• Plant shrubs and vegetation as needed.
• Assist with athletic field prep, including chalking fields.
• Collect and dispose of leaves, dirt, rubbish, and refuse.
• Assist with inspection, repair, and installation of sprinkler systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
