Job summary

The City of Cocoa Beach Public Works is seeking a Grounds Maintenance worker to help maintain and beautify city grounds and equipment. Duties include mowing, trimming, edging, spraying herbicides and pesticides, and assisting with special events. Reports to the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 11:30 AM, with potential for work during special events or holidays as needed. This role requires physical capability and a Florida driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 1–2 years ground maintenance experience.
• Valid Florida driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Performs general landscape maintenance duties including mowing, trimming, edging, and spraying herbicides and pesticides.
• Prepares and maintains grounds; grading and general landscaping functions on City property.
• Must interact with city staff and the public in a positive, professional manner.
