Job summary

Oakwood Management Company in Columbus, OH is seeking a Grounds Person to maintain landscaping, mowing, trimming, planting, and general grounds upkeep. You’ll help ensure outdoor spaces are safe, clean, and inviting for employees and visitors, year-round.

Experience in groundskeeping or landscaping, knowledge of plants and equipment, ability to work independently or in a team, attention to detail, physical stamina, and a positive attitude are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or a related field.
• Knowledge of plants, gardening techniques, and grounds maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance landscaping: mowing, trimming, planting, mulching.
• Seasonal tasks: leaf removal, snow clearing, de-icing walkways.
• Inspect and maintain outdoor facilities: playgrounds, walkways, parking areas.
• Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment: mowers, trimmers, snow blowers.
• Assist with minor repairs and upkeep of outdoor structures and amenities.
• Ensure grounds are safe, clean, and inviting for employees and visitors.
• Collaborate with maintenance team on special projects and events.

Your Role: Do you love the outdoors and have a green thumb? As a Grounds Person, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining the appearance and safety of our outdoor spaces. From manicured lawns to vibrant flower beds, you’ll ensure our grounds are always at their best.

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain and enhance the landscaping of our grounds, including mowing, trimming, planting, and mulching
