Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or demonstrated successful work experience in the duties.
• Regular squatting, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50 pounds required.
• Follow directions and communicate clearly with supervisor.
• Possess a valid Michigan driver's license if assigned to drive agency vehicles.
• Establish and maintain appropriate relationships with coworkers, supervisors, clients, visitors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance for upkeep and repair of grounds, roadways, equipment, furniture, and facilities of the VFW National Home.
• Engage in painting, basic woodworking and carpentry, plumbing, home and yard maintenance.
• Roadway repair and maintenance, snow removal, use and maintenance of power tools.
• Organize and clean work areas and move supplies and equipment.
