Harris American Company is seeking a Facility & Grounds Maintenance Helper in Cordele, GA. The role involves keeping company buildings and surroundings clean, safe, and orderly, including seasonal grounds work and basic equipment care.

You will work under senior maintenance staff to ensure a clean, safe environment for employees and visitors, handling routine duties and occasional maintenance tasks as directed.

Qualifications

• Experience in groundskeeping, janitorial work, landscaping, or general facility maintenance preferred but not required.
• Entry-level candidates may be considered.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures, grounds-maintenance practices, and workplace safety preferred.
• Experience operating lawn equipment or basic power tools is a plus.
• Must understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Mow, trim, and maintain lawns and grassy areas.
• Weed-eat around buildings, signs, and parking areas.
• Rake leaves and remove debris from facility grounds.
• Assist with care of plants, trees, and landscaped areas.
• Perform seasonal grounds maintenance including snow/ice removal when needed.
• Keep sidewalks and outdoor spaces clean, safe, and attractive.
• Operate light trucks and lawn equipment as authorized.
• Clean and maintain facility spaces and cleaning tools.
• Restock cleaning supplies and report safety concerns.
