Skidmore College seeks a diligent maintenance technician capable of repairing and maintaining grounds vehicles and related equipment. You will diagnose issues, replace defective parts, and ensure equipment conforms to original specifications.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience. Valid driver's license, safety awareness, and ability to work with both gas and diesel systems are essential.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED and one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must read and interpret safety rules and maintenance manuals.
• Ability to operate diagnostic and mechanical equipment.

Mansioni

• Comply with health and safety directives and wear PPE as required.
• Observe mechanical devices in operation and locate causes of trouble.
• Dismantle devices to diagnose and replace defective parts.
• Test parts to ensure they meet original specifications.
• Perform work on gas, diesel, and electric equipment.
• Adjust engine parts, bearings, and wheel alignment.
• Lubricate and change oil and filters.
• Operate vehicles when needed.
• Maintain high level of customer service.
