Job summary

Augusta University is seeking a Grounds Equipment Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on landscape and golf course equipment across campus facilities. The role requires a high school diploma or GED with three years of experience in equipment repair and maintenance, plus knowledge of MS Office and tracking systems.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, field service calls, recordkeeping, and coordinating parts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED from a state or federal accredited organization with three (3) years' experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
• Experience working with landscaping equipment and small engines.
• Strong attention to detail, judgment, and discretion with confidential information.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• Accurately prepare work orders, forms, and track issues with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance: Performs preventative maintenance of grounds equipment by following manufacturers recommendations and routine inspections.
• Repairs: Inspects, troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic defects.
• Recordkeeping: Maintain and order parts inventory and track repairs and hours.
• Administrative: Assist management with procurement, quotes, and vendor communications.
• Safety: Safely operates university vehicles and uses PPE; trains staff on safe procedures.
• Miscellaneous: Assist Grounds crew with event setup, storm cleanup, or other duties.
