Job summary

The Halter Group is hiring for a tree maintenance crew member to support our Augusta, Athens and greater Atlanta operations. A valid driver's license is required, and CDL A or B is needed.

You may be asked to travel within the Georgia service area and perform outdoor tasks, including using chainsaws and chippers, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork. We welcome experienced applicants and newcomers alike; training is available.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License is required.
• CDL is required.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• Able to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in all weather.
• Experience with chainsaws/chippers preferred; training is available.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance duties with a safety-first mindset.
• Follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
• Assist Arborists with tree removals, pruning, and debris disposal.
• Learn techniques and proper tool use from senior crew members.
• Safely use tools like chippers and chainsaws for maintenance tasks.
• Keep sites clean and hazard-free.
• Inspect equipment and perform repairs as needed.
• Use appropriate gear and observe safety protocols.
• Report issues or safety hazards to Foreman or relevant parties.
• Perform general groundskeeping duties as needed.
• Adhere to all company safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
