The Halter Group is seeking experienced and motivated team members to join our tree service operations in the Athens, GA area and greater Atlanta region. This role requires a valid driver's license and a CDL A or B, with travel across designated areas and potential CDL B training opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance duties with safety-first mindset as directed by Foreman.
• Assist Arborists with tree removals, pruning, and debris disposal.
• Learn techniques and proper tool use from experienced crew.
• Use chippers and chainsaws safely to perform maintenance tasks.
• Keep sites clean and hazard-free; report safety issues.
• Inspect equipment and perform repairs/maintenance as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
• Perform general groundskeeping as needed.

We are looking for experienced / non-experienced, men and woman who are responsible, hardworking and reliable to join our team. A clear, valid driver's license is required and a CDL A or B is required.

This will position will service the Athens, Augusta and greater Atlanta, GA area and will require travel.

We are willing to invest in our staff by assisting with obtaining CDL B license if you are willing to invest in your growth by preparing and meeting timely goals to obtain CDL B permit and perform the assignments to satisfy the DOT requirements for CDL B.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out all maintenance duties allocated by the Foreman with a safety-first mindset.
• Understanding and carrying out verbal and written instructions.
• Assisting Arborists with tree removals, pruning, and debris disposals.
• Learning techniques and the proper use of tools from senior or more experienced crew members.
• Safely using tools and equipment like chippers and chainsaws to carry out maintenance tasks.
• Ensuring all sites are kept clean and free of hazards.
• Inspecting equipment and tools and performing repairs and maintenance when required.
• Using the appropriate gear and observing safety protocols.
• Reporting any issues or safety hazards to the Foreman or other relevant parties.
• Perform general groundskeeping duties as needed.
• Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and OSHA regulations.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License
• CDL is required
• Bilingual is a plus
• able to lift 50+ pounds, bend, and work outdoors in all weather.
• Experience with chainsaws/chippers preferred, but training is available for eager learners.
• The ability to transport heavy items.
• Excellent balance and depth perception.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A strong commitment to safety and a desire to learn from experienced crew.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
