Job summary

Peak Utility Infrastructure in Grove City, Ohio is seeking a Groundman to support line and network crews in the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground power lines. This non-exempt role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and a valid Class A CDL.

Responsibilities include passing tools, assisting with setting poles and transformers, clearing rights-of-way, driving service vehicles, and following all safety guidelines. Occasional travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of construction experience.
• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Possession of or ability to obtain a state driver’s license within two weeks.
• Pass background checks and pre-employment drug screen.
• OSHA 10 training within 60 days.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Assist line/network crew by passing tools and materials.
• Assist in setting transformers and poles.
• Clear right-of-way and perform site clean-up.
• Operate basic equipment and tools as directed.
• Drive 3/4-ton or 1-ton pickups to job sites.
• Report accidents and safety hazards to Foreman.
