Job summary

Pike Electric LLC in Fort Myers, FL seeks a Groundman to start a rewarding career building and maintaining the power grid. You will report to the Foreman and perform outdoor labor, assist with overhead transmission lines, poles, and insulators, and help maintain tools and vehicles.

Expect physical work, travel to various job sites, and potential outages or emergency callouts. Safety and PPE usage are essential, with CDL readiness required within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Performs demanding physical labor and lifts up to 50 pounds.
• Follows safety protocols and uses PPE as required.
• Willing to travel long distances with short notice and work overtime when needed.
• Valid driver's license with ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction and maintenance on powerlines under supervision.
• Help install and repair overhead transmission lines, poles and hardware.
• Maintain vehicles, equipment and tools in good condition.
• Work outdoors in varying conditions and during outages or emergencies.
• Possess and use PPE; communicate with signals and/or hand signals.
