Job summary

Taylor’s Construction is seeking Groundmen to support telecommunications construction crews with fiber installation and utility pole projects. This entry-level role is ideal for those beginning a career in telecom construction.

As a team member, you will load and unload fiber, equipment, and materials, maintain safe work areas, operate basic tools, provide traffic control, and perform manual labor to support fiber installation and pole placement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Willingness to perform physical labor outdoors in all conditions.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work as part of a crew.
• Valid driver’s license, preferred.
• Strong desire to learn fiber optic and telecom construction skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist crews with loading/unloading fiber, equipment, and materials.
• Maintain safe and clean work areas around telecom construction sites.
• Operate hand tools and basic equipment under supervision.
• Provide traffic control and site setup support.
• Perform manual labor tasks to support fiber installation and pole placement.
