Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a Groundman to support the construction and maintenance of overhead electrical distribution systems. You will work under a Foreman, performing essential tasks and learning field operations in a dynamic outdoor environment.

The role requires a valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a CDL within 60 days, willingness to travel, and physical endurance to perform demanding labor in varying weather and hours.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required; ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours, including weekends, holidays, and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems with safety first.
• Assist installation and repair of overhead power lines, poles, insulators and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
• Work outdoors in varied conditions (heat, cold, rain, wind, storms).
• Be available for outages, emergencies, and on-call rotation.
• Follow safety protocols including PPE use and insulated protection.
• Inspect PPE and determine when to wear protective gear.
• Engage in rigorous physical labor.
