Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a Groundman to start a rewarding career in construction and maintenance of the power grid. You will report to the Foreman and perform essential physical tasks to support transmission line work.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, outdoor work in varied conditions, willingness to travel, and availability for outages and emergencies, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions.
• Willing to work outside normal hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair de-energized powerlines with safety first.
• Help install and repair overhead transmission lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Perform rigorous physical labor and lift heavy tools and equipment.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
• Work outdoors in extreme heat, cold, rain, wind and inclement weather.
• Available to work outages, storms, emergencies including on-call rotation.
• Inspect rubber goods and PPE.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear PPE when required.
