Job summary

Penn Line Tree Service in the United States is seeking a Groundhand to assist crews in clearing trees and branches that interfere with power and communication lines. You will hoist tools, secure ladders, and help load debris onto trucks.

This role requires travel across multiple states (PA, MD, OH, VA, WV) with a 4–10 hour day schedule and periods of mandatory overtime. A valid driver's license or CDL is preferred; Penn Line is a Drug-Free Workplace and encourages minorities and females to apply.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license or CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist crews in clearing trees and branches that interfere with power and communication lines.
• Hoist tools and equipment to crew members and lower branches with rope or tackle.
• Position and steady ladders; saw and cut branches.
• Load debris, trunks and limbs onto trucks (winch use).
• Chip brush and haul materials; carry chainsaws, gas and oil jugs.
• Flag traffic using stop/slow paddle and two-way radio.
