Job summary

Hunter Communications is seeking an entry-level Groundhand in the Construction Department. The role involves four ten-hour shifts, on-call periods, and occasional travel to install poles, strand, fiber, or conduit to support network construction.

The position requires heavy lifting and working outdoors in all weather. Training will cover CDL/flagging/CPR requirements, with relocation within 35 minutes of the corporate office.

Qualifications

• Must have a High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be in excellent physical condition and able to lift 70 lbs.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, overtime, and on-call duty.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Class A CDL or permit with ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Flagging card preferable; training within 90 days if necessary.
• Willing to relocate within 35 minutes of the corporate office.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties assigned as part of the groundhand team.
• Install poles, strand, fiber, or conduit to help build the network.
• Work with crew to install network components and travel for jobs.
• Travel out of town for assignments and be on-call periodically.
• Operate in outdoor conditions and handle heavy manual labor.
