Job summary

Hunter Communications is seeking an entry-level Groundhand in the Construction Department. The role focuses on outdoor, physical labor to install poles, strand, fiber, and conduit as part of a four-person crew. Training paths in Installer, Splicer, and Engineer are highlighted.

The position requires a high school diploma, ability to lift 70 lbs, and willingness to relocate within 35 minutes of the corporate office. CDL or permit and flagging cards are preferred with training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be in excellent physical condition.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties assigned by crew lead/operator/foreman.
• Operate where required with safety and teamwork in a four-person crew.
• Install poles, strand, fiber, or conduit to support network builds.
• Travel out of town for jobs and be on call periodically.
