Hunter Communications in Oregon is hiring an entry-level Groundhand in the Construction Department. The role involves four 10-hour shifts, potential on-call duties, and periodic travel to install poles, strand, fiber, or conduit to build the network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent physical condition
• Flexible hours, overtime, and 24-hour on-call rotating duties
• Outdoor work in adverse weather conditions
• Must obtain medical exam certificate
• Pre-employment drug screening
• Class A CDL or ability to obtain within 90 days
• Flagging card preferred; training within 90 days if needed
• Relocate within 35 minutes of the office
• Work in confined spaces and heavy manual labor (lift 70 lbs)

Responsibilities

• Install poles, strand, fiber, or conduit as part of a four-person crew
• Work as a team with other crews and report to crew lead/operator/foreman
• Perform all duties assigned
• Occasional travel out of town for jobs
• On-call periodically and work four 10-hour shifts
