Job summary

FiberTel, LLC is hiring an Aerial Construction Ground Hand for our Portland, OR location. The role requires knowledge of aerial cable installation, pole transfers, and safety procedures. CDL with a clean driving record is required, with about two years of related experience.

This full-time, hourly position works outdoors with varying weather and terrain. Benefits include health insurance, paid holidays, vacation, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• CDL driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Two years of aerial construction or telecom experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand prints/maps and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints to plan repair or pole transfer.
• Cut, assemble and install cables, mounts, arms, and guy wires.
• Install and maintain fiber, cable and phone equipment.
• Locate and repair issues quickly.
• Place, transfer and remove poles.
• Perform city and DOT safety and vehicle checks.
• Complete ticket paperwork in the field using tablets.
• Load materials and perform related duties.
