Henderson Scott US is seeking a Construction Estimator for Ground Up Construction to lead preconstruction efforts on residential Bronx projects. You will drive cost, scheduling, and subcontracting decisions while shaping winning proposals.

The role requires estimating experience, strong team leadership, and collaboration with design and operations to ensure profitable outcomes. In-office, full-time in Bronx, with an emphasis on accurate takeoffs and client presentations.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of preconstruction, estimating, project management or supervision experience.
• Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, market conditions and trade practices.
• Proficient in project management software.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Experience with Procore, AutoCAD, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Leads overall preconstruction process with comprehensive bids, proposals, estimates and budgets.
• Prepares for interviews and presents estimates to support business development.
• Oversees project teams and preconstruction execution.
• Manages relationships with clients and design team contacts during preconstruction.
• Creates conceptual budgets and reviews project risk with operations.
• Develops and manages win strategies and internal pricing.
