Job summary

MPI in Hanover, MD is seeking a Project Manager - Ground-Up Commercial to lead commercial construction projects from award through completion. You will serve as the primary liaison between ownership groups, design teams, consultants, and subcontractors, while leading meetings and communicating status, risks, schedules, and budgets to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience with a commercial General Contractor.
• Strong understanding of owner contracts, subcontract agreements, and construction contract administration.
• Demonstrated success negotiating costs, change orders, and project financial matters with owners and subcontractors.
• Hands-on field experience working alongside Superintendents and construction operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from award through completion.
• Serve as the primary liaison between ownership groups, design teams, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Lead project meetings and communicate project status, risks, schedules, and budgets to key stakeholders.
• Review, negotiate, and administer owner contracts and subcontractor agreements.
• Drive cost control efforts, evaluate change orders, and negotiate project-related financial impacts.
• Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Oversee submittal reviews, RFIs, project documentation, and compliance requirements.
• Monitor budgets, schedules, procurement activities, and project performance metrics.
• Support project planning, risk mitigation, and problem resolution throughout all phases of construction.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
