Job summary

MPI, a leading commercial construction firm in Minnesota, seeks a Project Manager to oversee multiple ground-up and renovation projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will manage schedules, budgets, and subcontractor coordination while leading client and stakeholder communications.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of PM experience in commercial construction, strong cost management skills, and a bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Proven experience managing ground-up and/or renovation commercial projects.
• Experience with retail, banking, financial institution, or similar commercial projects preferred.
• Strong scheduling, budgeting, and cost management skills.
• Ability to develop estimates and manage project financial performance.
• Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
• Stable work history with tenure and career progression.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Local Charlotte market experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and subcontractor coordination efforts.
• Prepare estimates and manage project financials to ensure successful project delivery.
• Lead communication with clients, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders.
• Oversee project documentation, contracts, change orders, and reporting.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Support field teams and collaborate closely with superintendents throughout construction.
• Foster strong client relationships and contribute to repeat business opportunities.
• Manage predominantly ground-up and renovation commercial projects valued between $3M and $10M.
• Play a key role in supporting the company's continued growth throughout the Charlotte market.
