Job summary

Zipline is seeking a Ground System Instructor in Fort Worth, TX, to develop and deliver technical training for ground-system infrastructure, docks, and dropboxes. You will own training content, scheduling, and records across Zipline’s Platform 2 autonomous delivery system, ensuring qualification readiness and compliance.

You will coordinate training with engineering, maintenance, and operations, deliver sessions virtually or on-site, and maintain audit-ready documentation.

Qualifications

• For this technical role, candidates should have instructional experience in a technical field.
• Experience creating training content, SOPs, or trainer materials to enable consistent instruction.
• Knowledge of light industrial equipment, HVAC, renewable energy, or related technical fields.
• Strong attention to detail in training records and deliverables with clear communication.
• Willingness to travel domestically 30-50% to deliver training.
• Preferred: LMS certification or trade-school instruction experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical training, SOPs, train-the-trainer materials, and maintenance bulletins with engineering and operations teams.
• Deliver virtual or in-person training for technicians on ground-system infrastructure, docks, and dropboxes.
• Coordinate course schedules and training communications for learners and leaders.
• Maintain training records in Zipline’s Training Academy systems and produce documentation for audits.
• Coach selected technicians as on-the-job instructors and support required notices and forms.
• Evaluate trainee readiness and measure field performance to improve outcomes.
• Incorporate field feedback to update training and inform engineering designs.
• Ensure training quality and audit-ready records for safe ground-system work.
